Details
The construction of an American-type box erector with lower flap closing was carried out, with adequate belt to automate the loading of empty boxes on the line. The provision included the breaking of the upper flaps, the purpose of which is for the boxes to reach the robot sector with the flaps open, in order to maintain the current boxing rate.
In addition to considering a significant improvement in safety conditions, the project and automation aimed to maintain a flexible production circuit and a very significant improvement in the use of existing equipment and human resources.
General technical information
General construction carbon steel epoxy painted with part of its mobile components, aluminum alloy, sandblasted and painted with epoxy paint.
Storage channel for pre-marked boxes at 90º in relation to the exit and closing bands, cardboard advance on band.
Equipped with a mobile cart that is in charge of moving and opening the boxes. On it, the pivoting arm is mounted at 180º in a horizontal position with suction cups for suction and placement of the open box on the folding table.
All movements are pneumatically actuated.
The vacuum is obtained from a low air consumption PIAB generator.
SIAT MODEL K 11 tape applicator module (BOTTOM – MADE IN ITALY).
SEW brand motor reducers, responsible for activating the lateral advance bands.
The transfer belt is made of rubber fabric conditioned for this function.
The equipment is mounted on articulated anti-vibration legs, to adjust to the desired height.
The board has a central PLC of the compact type Micrologix 1400 brand Allen Bradley. The board has a simple manual button panel for equipment operation, as well as a warning column with a light and sound indicator.
The equipment includes a certified safety relay for opening and emergency protection. This is complemented by security microphones placed on the swing doors.
