An important automation project was carried out, which consisted of expanding (doubling) the receipt of milk at the dairy plant.
For better control, screens were added to the already installed system (SCADA “Wonderware System Platform”), where the operator can start unloading milk from trucks, select destination silos, circuit and type of washing, etc.
This SCADA allows extremely precise monitoring of milk reception, delivery from the receipt to the plant and its storage. Through the system used, it is possible that from any point of the plant the system can be monitored and controlled.
Some of the main variables observed are; levels in tanks and silos, temperatures, flow received by each dock, washing, among others.
Finally, printouts of tickets are obtained for a control of liters downloaded for the truck driver, daily/weekly/monthly and annual reports on production data that are extremely important as information for decision making.
